Description

A widespread dragonfly often seen patrolling over fields some distance from water. Common Green Darner is a migratory dragonfly, although the ones that go south are not the same ones that come back north in the spring since their life span is much shorter than that. Swarms seen in late summer and early fall are often comprised of this species.
